Birdwatching in Sausapor

Sansapore Pacific Park Beach Resort has become a favorite base for visitors who like swimming, snorkeling, birdwatching or wildlife watching. 

Since last year, birding activities have increasingly become popular among visitor s who come to Sausapor and stay at the resort. The birding tours in Sausapor of Tambrauw regency are mostly organized by Charles Roring. Inside the complex area of the resorts birds that can be watched, especially early in the morning, include Shining Flycatcher, Willie Wagtail, Eclectus Parrot, Torresian Crow, Sahul Sunbird, Wood Sandpiper, Oriental Pratincole, Little-ringed Plover, Black-naped Tern, Lesser Frigatebird and etc.

Along the roadside between Sausapor and Werur, a lot of birds could be watched including Pinon Imperial Pigeon, Pink-spotted Fruit Dove, Helmetted Friarbird, Brown Oriole, and etc. 

If visitors walk deeper into the forest, they could watch Red-cheeked Parrot,  Sulphur-crested Cockatoo, Palm Cockatoo, Double-eyed Fig Parrot, Eclectus Parrot, Yellow-faced Myna, Golden Myna, Hooded Butcherbird, Black Butcherbird, Black Sunbird, Sahul Sunbird, Lowland Peltop, Mimic Meliphaga, Brown Cuckoo Dove, Pink-spotted Fruit Dove, Spangled Drongo, Gray Crow, Yellow-billed Kingfisher, Pink-spotted Fruit Dove, Glossy-mantled Manucode, King Bird of Paradise, Magnificent Riflebird, Lesser Birds of Paradise, Masked Bowerbird, Variable Goshawk, Long-tailed Honeybuzzard, Blyth's Hornbill.

Sausapor has got one of the best rainforest areas for general birding activity.
